Great Gatsby Bash
May 23, 2013, BBALP started off the summer by going back in time to the Roaring Twenties with a grand party full of dapper gents and flapper darlings. This exclusive fundraiser at the elegant Griffin, benefited the Bisila Bokoko African Literacy Project. The event included an hour-long open bar to kick things off! By helping us sell out the event, attendees helped to build a beautiful library in Africa during the summer. Guests dressed the part for the Great Gatsby party, and were swept away into another era.
Pikolinos Gala Dinner
On April 17, over 400 guests attended Pikolinos’ fundraising Gala at the United Nations, in support of the Maasai tribe and ADCAM NGO’s schooling project. Members of New York’s fashion, political, and social circles were present. Jeannette Chang, Senior Vice President and International Publishing Director of Hearst Magazines International, was awarded “Pikolinos’ Honor for Social Commitment” for her cooperation with ADCAM (Development, Alternative Trade and Microcredit) and BBALP.
Ambassador Tai Beauchamp was the host of this evening. The guests enjoyed performances by Spanish guitarist Pablo Sáinz and world musician Kaissa. In order to raise funds for Kenyan “ADCAM Mara Vision School”, located in the heart of Maasai Mara National Reserve, there was an auction of Johannes Huebl’s photography works from Kenya.
