In June 2021 we got 28.000 textbooks (in Spanish) for the Libraries and Students of the University of
Equatorial Guinea – UNGE.

Do you want to study with me?

Our goal is to gather as many used university books as possible, to send them to the National University of Equatorial Guinea, to be distributed within its Libraries and also among its Students. We will receive the books until Wednesday May 26th at our warehouse in Barcelona, and from there they will leave for Equatorial Guinea in June. So, in addition to delivering these powerful tools that books are, we would love for this campaign to serve as a connection between Spain and Africa, through the students who donate their books and the people, Universities, Companies and Organizations that collaborate. So we suggest to students who donate their books, to include a note for their recipients, also indicating their email address if they wish, so that recipients can contact the donors and perhaps starting a relationship of friendship, of connecting with the other’s culture, and perhaps future professional collaborations, who knows … we believe in the magic of life and that it happens when we do things from the heart. And of course, we would love to mention those Universities, Companies and Organizations that collaborate on our social networks, on the BBALP website and across any media that support this campaign

The challenges we meet

In addition to receiving university books from individuals, we are in contact with all Spanish University Libraries. Many of them offer us a large quantity of books, but they cannot take charge of sending them to our warehouse in Barcelona, where we will collect them all, to take them to the container that will transport them by ship to Equatorial Guinea.
Therefore, where we need the most support at this time is in spreading the word and in the logistics to collect the books that the Universities give us. All support, no matter how small, adds up. A lot!
